ForNepalese: Mahanta Thakur and Rajendra Mahato are preparing to open a new party after the Election Commission gave the authority of Jaspa to Upendra Yadav.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Mahanta and Rajendra held discussions with lawyers close to them. Leader close to Yadav Gyanendra Jha has already applied to the Election Commission for registration of the Democratic Socialist Party.

According to sources, Thakur and Mahato want to revive the old Rajpa, but Harinarayan Yadav, a leader close to Upendra Yadav, has applied to the Election Commission for registration of the Rajpa. Only two days after Yadav applied to the commission, a leader close to Thakur had applied to the commission for Rajpa registration.
Sources said that Thakur had also consulted a lawyer about the possibility of getting the old Rajpa name. A leader close to Thakur said, “There will be an effort to revive the old Rajpa as much as possible.” Otherwise, there is a possibility of opening a party called Democratic Socialist Party.
