Oxygen cylinder assistance to Mugu Hospital by NRNA Africa

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Africa has donated 10 oxygen cylinders to a hospital in the remote Himalayan district of Mugu. The cylinder was handed over to Dr Kabir Poudel, MD of District Hospital Mugu by Nripendra Bahadur Malla, president of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Mugu on Tuesday.

Chairman Malla said that NRN Africa has provided assistance to Mugu District Hospital in Nepal under the Immediate Oxygen Assistance Campaign to ensure that no one dies due to lack of oxygen in remote districts even though there are alternatives in affluent places.

The cylinders sent from Bhairahawa were delivered to Mugu by Nrupendra Bahadur Malla, president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Mugu, Ved Prasad Timilsena, founding president of the Achham Federation of Journalists and Roshan Thapa, regional coordinator of NRN Africa.

Under the campaign, Botswana President Padam Bhandari, Congo President Amrit Chhetri, Mozambique President Sarada Poudel Rai, NRNA Coordinating Committees and members have assisted in purchasing oxygen cylinders.

As the number of coronaviruses in the district continues to rise, active treasurers in the district have been contacted by former NRNA International Committee treasurer and general manager of the food sector of the world’s 11th richest Nigerian group, Hikmat Thapa. Were

Ved Prasad Timilsena, the founding president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, and Chhayanath Savings and Loan Cooperative Mugu assisted in the transportation from Bhairahawa to Nepalgunj.
