Call to participate in ‘NRNA The Singer’

Nepali musical talents from all over the world have been invited to participate in ‘NRNA The Singer’. All Nepali speaking talents from all over the world have been invited to participate in the ‘NRNA The Singer’ program organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) from June 21.

Speaking on the occasion, senior musician Shambhujit Banskota in NRNA’s weekly series ‘Pravasi Pravah’ requested all Nepali speaking talents scattered abroad to participate. Senior musician and competition judge Banskota said that he has always wanted the internationalization of Nepali music and expressed confidence that the event would identify new and good talents. He also said that whether the songs are in his place or not, the art he has will be ‘classic’.

Audition is being prepared for ‘Musical Reality Show’ to identify Nepali-speaking artists in exile, said coordinator Govinda Prasad Gautam.

The competition will be held in digital audition with the objective of identifying and establishing Nepali talents scattered all over the world. Apart from Nepal and SAARC countries, Nepali speakers above the age of 15 from 82 countries of the world will be able to participate in the competition.

According to Gautam, those who want to participate in the competition will have to make a video of the song and put it in the app of the program.

The audition will initially be broadcast live on social media from all continents and will also be broadcast on Nepali televisions. The competition is being coordinated by the NRNA ICC Culture and Heritage Subcommittee.

Senior musician Shambhujit Banskota, singer Shambhu Rai, singer Sharmila Bardewa and former president of NRNA and Niyatrakar Jiva Lamichhane are on the jury of the competition.
