According to a 9to5Mac report, the Spain Consumer Protection Organization (OCU) has alleged that Apple has slowed down older iPhone models by sending iOS updates. The iPhone 8, iPhone XS, and iPhone 11 have been updated to 14.5, iOS 14.5.1 and iOS 14.6 from Apple. Since this update, the problem of slow processing speed of the phone is coming. Also, the touch response has become quite slow from running the app. Apart from this, the phone’s battery is discharging quickly.

Trying to increase sales of iphone

It is alleged that Apple wanted to increase the sales of the upcoming iPhone 13 by slowing down its old iPhone. This was a well thought out move of the company, under which users would buy a new iPhone after getting fed up with the low speed of the phone and the battery draining soon.

What will be the effect on Apple

If the allegations of the Spain Consumer Protection Organization prove to be true, Apple may have to pay heavy amount. Also, customers’ trust in Apple will be broken. Let us tell you that if there is an allegation that before the launch, a wrong environment will be created regarding the upcoming iPhone 13, due to which the company may have to suffer double loss.
