The ruling coalition has decided on the share of the participating ministries in the government amid talk of unnatural delays in government expansion.

The number of ministries in the government has been decided after the top level discussions of the parties participating in the alliance. The alliance has decided to complete the cabinet without the participation of UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. During the meeting of the leaders of the ruling coalition held today (Thursday), it was agreed to complete the cabinet without Madhav Nepal’s side.

The Congress and the UCPN (M) and the Janata Samajwadi Party have agreed to share the ministry, giving the Madhav Nepal faction maximum opportunity in government and constitutional appointments. A meeting of the top leaders held on Thursday morning has prepared a preliminary blueprint for the Congress to get eight ministries, including the prime minister, the UCPN (Maoist) seven and the Jaspa seven, according to one of the Jaspas.

According to him, the remaining three ministers of state will be appointed. It is said that there has been a general discussion on who will get which ministry but no decision has been reached yet. However, sources said that there was an agreement not to bring out the ministry-wise allocation. It has been decided who will be the Minister of State.

After the secret meeting of the top leaders of the alliance, a meeting of the Congress and JSP is being held. The meeting of Nepali Congress office bearers is being held at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba at 2 pm at Budhanilkantha. Similarly, the meeting of the JSP executive committee has also started. After the meeting of the alliance, the top leaders of the party have reached the meeting of the party.
